PODCAST- Laurel Guillen and a Merry Medieval Misfit Christmas Tale

There are certain questions that hang in our collective consciousness.

Where does color go when it fades? How many licks does it take to get to the tootsie roll center of a Tootsie pop?

How do we get all these amazing people here on the Isle? The world may never know.

But let’s enjoy it while we can. Cause today we have radio, newspaper and tv journalist (not to mention co-producer of the award winning movie Little Red Wagon) Laurel Guillen with us on the Isle. I know! Amazing!

You might recognize the last name, because amazingness runs in the family. She’s married to Dr. Michael Guillen (that’s right, THE Dr. G!), who’s had his passport stamped here on several occasions. So she knew what she was in for, and still she came. Again I say, amazing!

Laurel, of course, crushes the Stupid Game on all things Medieval, and we also manage to talk about her new novel, A Bellewether Christmas, a beautiful Medieval tale, inspired by a trip she made to the Vatican.

All in all, it’s an amazing conversation. I know. I keep using that word. But unlike Vizzini in Princess Bride, I do in fact know it means what I think it means.

And it fits. Listen for yourself!

Oh, and if you want to play along with the Stupid Game at home, test your knowledge of Medieval Christmas trivia here!

And did I mention she has an AMAZING (there I go again!) blog, called God and Gardening? It’s on Facebook.
