Time to kick it up yet another notch around here in Misfit Land (what are notches for, anyway, if not for kicking up?), with another Progressive Post! But not just any old Progressive Post, oh no.
And you’ve probably figured out by now that I’m not talkin politics , either
[[[shudder]]].
Nope. In fact, it’s the opposite of politics. It’s raw honesty. That is, today I’m going to let you in on the process of a little songwriting. It don’t get any rawer or honester than that, folks.
I’ve had the teeniest little mustard seed of lyrics running through my mind the past few months… that I haven’t done much with. But today I woke up thinking of them again. So why not flush them out for all 3-4 dozen of you faithful followers scattered around the globe… and see where it takes us? Maybe you’ll even have a lyrical suggestion! I’m open to it. No promises, but wouldn’t it be cool if we all wrote a song together?
So here’s what I have so far:
Come out come out,
Christ in me.
Come out come out
the hope of glory.
Come out come out
and set me free
within, without
to live this story.
To be continued… (see Day 17!)
